Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (BPTIK) provides academic services and facilities including a computerized system in processing for the University of PGRI Semarang.

 

VISION

To create the university of PGRI Semarang as a professional and excellent College with self-evident truth based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

MISSION

  1. Developing ICT to support the University of PGRI Semarang in the academic activities with the result that it creates graduates who have the pedagogical, personality, professional and social competences.
  2. Developing ICT to improve the performance of the University of PGRI Semarang in management functions and academic community in finance student affairs, cooperation, research and community service.
  3. Developing ICT to support the advancement of professional organizations for Teachers of the Republic of Indonesian (PGRI).

POSITION

  1. Development of Information and Communication Technology Agency (BPTIK) headed by a Chief, who is responsible to the Rector and under the Vice-Rector IV.
  2. In the exercise of duties, the Chief is assisted by a secretary.
  3. The Secretary shall be responsible to the Head.

 

Common tasks of BPTIK in details:

  1. Developing plans for BPTIK activities;
  2. Planning the standards of ICT equipment, operation, utilization, and maintenance of computer networks within the Institute;
  3. Manage and ensure smooth access to information and communication to the local network of the Institute and the global network for all users;
  4. Dissemination of Information and Communication Technology services to users and potential users within the Institute;
  5. Coordinating and providing network technical consultation on a regular basis to the parties in the Institute
  6. Implementing management service of information system adaptable to the needs of the Institute
  7. Making periodic reports to the head of the Institute

Secretary job description:

  1. Menyusun rencana kegiatan BPTIK
  2. Representing the task of Head of Information and Communication Technology Development Agency
  3. Handling financial affairs
  4. Implementing management of staffing
  5. Carrying out housekeeping
  6. Carrying out administrative services of BPTIK
  7. Making reports on the implementation of BPTIK

Details of Tasks for Division of Computer Networking Services and Hardware:

  1. Designing a plan of activities in the division of Computer Networking Services and Hardware
  2. Structuring/mapping (topology) of local network and the Internet
  3. Managing a cabling and switching local network and the Internet
  4. Setting routing, bandwidth management, and firewall
  5. Providing usage requirement services and lending Computer Laboratory 1 and 2 as well as internet access if needed for academic activities, training, research, community service and student’s activities.
  6. Maintaining and repairing the damage and following up on any reports of damage to ICT hardware including LCD Projector in the classroom at the University of PGRI Semarang
  7. Guiding students in fieldwork of vocational schools doing internship in BPTIK
  8. Providing training on Computer Networking and Hardware
  9. Making report on the implementation of activities in the division of Computer Networking Services
  10. Carrying out other duties assigned by the head.

Details of Task for Information System Services and Scientific Work Division:

  1. Designing a plan for activities within the Division of Information System Services
  2. Developing Academic Information System as a service supporting academic activities
  3. Designing Information System and making others (non-academic) at the University of PGRI Semarang
  4. Making Service and maintenance of domain web (www.upgrismg.ac.id) including the provision of sub-domain for development
  5. Backing-up data system (backup system)
  6. Developing online learning (e-learning)
  7. Developing, managing the dissemination web-mail
  8. Developing online journals online (e-jurnals), proceedings online (e-prosidings) and repository (e-prints); evaluating online for faculty (BPM)
  9. Conducting operational training of information systems at the University of PGRI Semarang
  10. Reporting on the implementation of activities within the information system division Carrying out other duties assigned by the leader
