The presence of the Library Unit of the University of PGRI Semarang has been initiated since 1981 as the college was established. On the initiatives of the rector who held by Taruna, SH (alm) at that time. In 1985 the library the University of PGRI Semarang stood; it is still very simple. In adjustment of the development and needs of the academic community, the Library Unit has moved to several places, and finally in 2007 the new library occupied a four-story building located on Jl. Lingga Raya.
In processing and the service of the Library Unit of University of PGRI Semarang has already used a computerized system that allows users to search for books; it has adjusted to the standard library.
Vission : Creating an integrated information technology-based library.

The application of automation software: The application of automation software: Application software CYPRUS (Library Information System) is used to assist library management designed and developed with ease, speed, and accuracy of the library administration process. The Application of information technology is used among others to; (1) enter library reference data materials; (2) take care of book reservation and circulation service; (3) supply internet service; (4) supply OPAC (on-line Public Access Catalogue)
Systems and Facilities Services: (1) To open service system that borrowers can immediately view and select library materials on the shelves. (2) Users can quickly find a collection because it has been supplied electronically search tool (software Cyprus) in the form of electronic catalogs.
